Happy Wednesday, loves! My schedule has been crazy-hectic this week between working, running errands, cleaning the house (I never seem to catch up), and packing for a weekend getaway. Thomas and I are heading to my brother and his wife’s alma mater to catch a football game and tailgate with our family, it will be a fun-filled weekend- but first things first, we need to get through the week and pack! Later this week I will be posting a blog post detailing a few tips for packing for a short weekend getaway and the must-have items that one should pack- I know I struggle big time when it comes to overpacking, so I always try to remember these tips. Alright, lets get to the details of this outfit, how awesome is this sweater?! I came across it when I was browsing the Nordstrom’s website and I usually stay away from online shopping, simply because I have slightly wider hips and If I wear a top that hits too low or right at the widest part, then it is super unflattering for my body type, so I prefer trying my clothes on before purchasing. However I could not resist this purchase. I bought it online, but picked it up in the store so that I could try it on right away, and I fell in love with it! The sweater hits right at the waistline, which makes it a super flattering piece for just about everyone, plus it has bell sleeves– my favorite! The quality is great AND it costs less than $60- score! Am I right? I have received a lot of questions about my boots as well, I have been so about over the knee boots this season and these ones are stunning, comfortable, and they are under $100. The calf also has a stretch to them, so if you struggle to find boots that fit your calf then I highly suggest trying these ones out.
I attached the outfit details below, enjoy!
The other day Thomas and I went for a quick walk to grab a coffee from Starbucks, the sun was shinning and it seemed as if the weather was going to be beautiful for the entire day. Fast forward to us sitting outside enjoying our coffee and out of nowhere it starts to rain, and by rain I mean pour. So I being the thinker that I am ( 😉 ) suggest we stop in the shops right near Starbucks to ‘browse’ and avoid the rain- we walked into one of my favorite stores, Lou & Grey, and I am so glad that we did because I came across this beautiful dress! It is the perfect color for fall, it looks great under an oversized sweater or a jacket, and it can be worn with tights. I truly do not think it is possible to style this dress incorrectly because it is so versatile. Also as a side note, you need these booties in your life! They are the definition of comfort and you can wear them with any outfit- as of now I have them on repeat!
PS; You can receive $25 off a first time purchase at Lou & Grey online!
